Mission Statement of EmployAbility Service Wicklow

To help stem the flow of people with disabilities and extra support needs into long-term unemployment by facilitating integration into suitable and fulfilling mainstream employment. To form alliances and working partnerships with other organisations and service providers throughout County Wicklow to meet organisational objectives.
To play an active and leading role in County Wicklow in informing and influencing employers with regard to the benefits of employing individuals with disabilities.
To set and promote world-class standards in employment and placement services within a framework of total quality and continuous improvement.

Services

• EmployAbility Service Wicklow provides a supported employment service to people with disabilities throughout all of County Wicklow, with offices based in Wicklow Town, Bray and Arklow.
• The support is available to jobseekers over the age of 18, who may have different types of disabilities such as:
  • Intellectual – Mental Health – Physical – Sensory – Hidden – Medical
  • …job ready and the need the support of a Job Coach to get a job.
• Our service commenced in 2001 and since then has successfully worked with both jobseekers and employers in facilitating employment.
• We are a limited company, governed by an independent voluntary Board of Directors.
• EmployAbility Service Wicklow is an established team of one Co-ordinator, and six Job Coaches.
• We are supported by FAS and the EU and funded under the National Development Plan from 2007 – 2013
